Picnic Hill Pottery brings you distinctive hand thrown terracotta.

Kim and Jeanette Lyons have recently established Picnic Hill Pottery at West Toodyay to enable the redevelopment of the thrown form. Picnic Hill Pottery specialises in terracotta and is the only type of this pottery production now existing in Western Australia.

At Picnic Hill Pottery we have a reputation for providing terracotta pieces that stand the test of time.

Toodyay is a pleasant 90km drive or train trip from Perth through the hills and farmland. The town itself straddles the Avon River and is surrounded by picturesque hills of remanent vegetation, grazing and cropping land. The ideal time to visit the region is winter, spring and early summer.

Picnic Hill Pottery is located approximately 5.5km downstream from town. Carved out of the hillside to take advantage of the views, the workshop has been designed to include a dedicated display room for finished work and ample space in the main workshop for people to watch the process of pottery throwing.
